It is the goal of STPO board members and active members of STPO to bring hope to the hopeless.  We know that God works all things together for good for those who are called according to his purpose, so we teach inmates how to live for God regardless of their circumstances, and to put all their cares on him who has the power, the know how, and the ability to make a difference.

STPO members work hard to share the gospel with the imprisoned.  Our desire is to be used by God, that one day he will say to us that when we did it for the least of them, we did it for him.

Inmates have been responsive to us.  Sometimes we see released inmates working in town or at a store.  They thank God for allowing us to minister to them.  We thank you for your prayers and financial support.

STPO is a non-profit organization.  We welcome Matagorda County active church members to join us in our ministry of the incarcerated.  Men minister to men and women minister to women at separate times.  Matagorda County Jail has been graceful in allowing us to have the special bible study time on Tuesday's evenings and then of course Sunday mornings church services.

South Texas Prison Outreach continues to pray that God will give us the words to share with the inmates, open the inmates hearts to receive Christ, and the officers in charge safety.

If you are interested in joining STPO, join us at our next meeting.  We meet the first Monday of each month at Ignite Church in Bay City, TX. at 7:00pm.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.  Matthew 22:37-40
